Purpose
The Cabinet Member:
1.
Approved the extension of the
existing Delegation and Collaboration agreement by the Council with
Cambridgeshire County Council, which sets out the terms on which
the council will delegate to Cambridgeshire County Council the lead
function in relation to the extension of funding (first awarded for
the 2024-25 academic year) for the councils to work together for
the 2025-26 Academic year (01/09/2025 - 31/08/2026) to carry out
the functions of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Music
Education Hub as set out by the Department for Education and Arts
Council England.
2.
To authorised the Director of
Children and Young People’s Service to exercise the option to
extend the Delegation and Collaboration Agreement for another four
(4) further 12-month extension periods from 1st
September 2026 onwards, upon
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough being allocated grant funding from
the Department for Education (DfE).
