Report will provide an update on
the Hilton Hotel and the next steps available. 

Decision

Cabinet resolved to:
 

1.    
Instruct officers to direct the
administrators (as Primary Creditor) to proceed with the marketing
and sale of the site and to ensure that any disposal process is
conducted so as to achieve “best value”, having regard
to the administrators’ statutory duties under the Insolvency
Act 1986 and the Council’s duty to secure Best Value under
section 3 of the Local Government Act 1999.  
 

2.    
Authorise the Executive Director
for Place and Economy in consultation with both the Section 151
Officer and Monitoring Officer to execute all documents and enter
into any agreements necessary to give effect to Recommendation
1.
