Purpose

City College Peterborough is
already part of the City Council, but it operates at arms-length
due to an agreement that was made in 2014. This proposal seeks to
fully integrate the College into the Council.

Decision

Cabinet RESOLVED
unanimously to:

 

1.    
Authorise:

 

a.    
the revocation of delegations
approved within Cabinet Member Decision Notice DEC14/CMDN/117
whereby the Council agreed to Governing Board arrangements and
financial and management delegations to City College Peterborough;
and

 

b.    
a change of operating model to
City College Peterborough so it shall be recognised as a department
of the Council and housed internally in the Council under a
standard line management structure into the Directorate of Place
and Economy,?

 

?with effect from a date to be
agreed by the Executive Director of Place and Economy, in
consultation with the Director of Legal and Governance, and subject
to necessary Constitution amendments in relation to the Adult
Education function and delegations to the Executive Director of
Place and Economy.???

Authorise continuation of City
College Peterborough’s ‘Advisory Board’, which
serves as a consultative body providing strategic advice, guidance,
and challenge to the leadership of City College
Peterborough.??
