Purpose

This is an important acquisition
as it provides housing support to vulnerable care
leavers

Decision

Cabinet RESOLVED
to:

 

1.    
Approve the acquisition of the 6 x
1-bedroom flats for the purpose of meeting housing needs and
providing temporary accommodation for single occupiers.

 

2.    
Note the opportunity for these
flats to be utilised for housing care leavers, in line with the
council’s commitment to supporting vulnerable young
people.

 

3.    
Delegate authority to the
Executive Director of Place & Economy in conjunction with the
Executive Director of Corporate Services and Director of Legal and
Governance to finalise the purchase.
