To seek approval to dispose of the council-owned asset known as the New England Complex, located on Lincoln Road, Peterborough

Cabinet RESOLVED  to:

  1. Approve the disposal of Units 1-7 of the New England Complex to the bidder which demonstrates best value for money for the Council under section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972 but also evidences suitable social value for its users, existing tenants and the wider community. For clarity, the recommended bidder at this time is Bidder B as detailed in the Summary of Evaluations (Page 14) of the exempt annex.
  2. Delegate authority to the Executive Director of Place and Economy in conjunction with the Executive Director of Corporate Services and Director of Legal and Governance, to agree final terms and complete the disposal.
