Purpose
The consent of the Council, as the
sole shareholder of Peterborough Limited (PL),
is required in order for the company to take certain actions. The
reserved matters, requiring the Cabinet's consent, are detailed
within a Member Agreement between the Council, PL and PCHLL (PL’s subsidiary). As and when
PL needs to make any decision, determination, provide any approval
or pass any resolution in connection with any reserved matter they
must first obtain the written consent of the Cabinet. The reserved
matters include a requirement for Cabinet consent to be obtained
before PL makes an offer of employment in certain
circumstances.

Cabinet RESOLVED
to:
1.
Give consent for Peterborough
Limited to recruit and make offers of
employment in relation to the
positions of Waste Supervisor and
Chargehand
respectively.
2.
Delegate authority to the
Executive Director for Place and Economy, in
consultation with the Director for
Legal and Governance (Monitoring Officer)
until 1 April 2026, to authorise
and give consent (on behalf of the Council,
as shareholder of Peterborough
Limited, pursuant to reserved matter 31 of
the Member Agreement) for
Peterborough Limited and/or Peterborough
Culture, Heritage, Learning and
Leisure Ltd to make offers of employment
in the future and/or alter
remuneration or conditions of employment of
PL/PCHLL employees or consultants
(provided that this delegation does not
extend to the Council’s
consent which may be required under any other
reserved matter).
