Purpose

Relocation of the Alzheimer's
Society from 441 Lincoln Road to Paston Farm Community
Centre.

Decision

Cabinet RESOLVED
to:

 

1.    
Approve the relocation of the
Alzheimer’s Society from 441 Lincoln Road to Paston Farm
Community Centre, excluding the Boxing Gym area, in order to ensure the continued provision of essential
dementia support services within Peterborough. 

 

2.    
Approve the capital allocation for
the refurbishment and fit out of Paston Farm Community Centre
to establish a Dementia Resource Centre, in line with the
approved capital programme. 

 

3.    
Delegate authority to the
Executive Director of Place & Economy and in conjunction with
the Executive Director for Corporate Resources,
to: 

 

a.    
Finalise and enter into appropriate lease or licence arrangements with the
Alzheimer’s Society for occupation of Paston Farm Community
Centre, with the term structured to be coterminous with the
existing Adult Social Care commissioning arrangements and service
contract; 

 

b.    
Procure and appoint contractors
and professional advisers to deliver the refurbishment works
ensuring compliance with relevant statutory requirements, including
the Building Safety Act 2022; 

 

c.     
Approve any minor amendments to
the scope, programme or costs to the scheme, provided
these remain within the approved budget and do not
materially alter the intent of the Cabinet
decision.
