Decision

The Cabinet Member:

  1. Approved delegated authority to the Executive Director of Place and Economy (in consultation with the Executive Director of Corporate Services and Director of Legal and Governance) to take all such steps necessary for Peterborough City Council (Tenant) to take a lease from Mapeley Gamma Acquisition Co (1) Limited (Landlord) for the purpose of the continuation of delivering library services during the closure of the Central Library at Northminster House. The terms of which are set out under the Exempt Annex.
  2. Approved the use of reserves to fund the revenue implications of £164,444 or costs not eligible as capital expenditure. This breakdown of which is set out under the Exempt Annex.
  3. Noted the requirement for the uses on the first floor of Central Library, primarily associated with Children’s Services, to be relocated and that a suitable alternative location will be agreed by the Executive Director for Children’s Services, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Children’s Services and the Executive Director for Place and Economy.
