Decision

The Cabinet:
 
1. Authorised the Council to enter into a Commercial Transfer
Agreement (CTA) between the Council, the Governing Body of Saint
Michael Church of England Primary School (the “School”)
and ACT Multi Academy Trust.
 
2. Authorised the Director of Legal and Governance, in
consultation with the Executive Director of Children’s
Services and the Leader of the Council, to take all necessary steps
required to facilitate the decision in Recommendation 1 including
entering into any necessary legal agreements.
 
3. Delegated authority to the Executive Director for Children's
Services, in consultation with the Director for Legal and
Governance and the Executive Director for Corporate Services to
negotiate and enter into any documentation reasonably required to
facilitate the academy conversion of the school.
 
Please note, the Cabinet agreed to amended recommendations and
therefore the above are different to those published within the
report.
