Purpose

The Cabinet Member:

1.     Approved the council’s ‘Post -16 Transport Policy Statement for Academic Year 24/25.

Reasons for the decision

Alternative options considered

Cease to provide Post 16 transport – Many students in receipt of Post 16 transport attend Arthur Mellows Village College and live in rural areas, there are no public transport alternatives and selling Post 16 spaces on existing services makes economic sense.

Review Policy statement but do not increase Post 16 parental contribution – increase is in line with inflation and part of the Council’s overall approach to charging.
