Democratic Services Committee

Membership  Terms of Reference / Areas of Responsibility 11 Councillors - politically balanced ·         Review the adequacy of provision by the authority of staff, accommodation and other resources to discharge the democratic services functions; ·         Make recommendations to Council on that provision; ·         Assist in the improvement of the scrutiny and non-executive role acting as a catalyst for improving the relationship between the Cabinet and Scrutiny; ·         Consideration of issues arising from the Annual Improvement Letter in relation to the operation of the Cabinet, Scrutiny and committees generally including member support and development; ·         Member Development project; ·         Review of committee structures; ·         Revisions to the Constitution.
