About

The River Tees Port Health Authority is responsible for preventing the introduction of dangerous epidemic, contagious, and infectious diseases into the country and ensuring the wholesomeness of imported food. To achieve this, it exercises the functions, rights, and liabilities of a local authority as specified in the River Tees Port Health Authority Order 1982. This ensures public health and food safety at the port.
