The Tees Valley Combined Authority is a partnership of five local authorities and the Local Enterprise Partnership, focused on driving economic growth and job creation across the Tees Valley area. It makes local decisions in collaboration with the business community and other partners to boost the economy and improve living standards. The Authority has taken on responsibilities previously held by central government in areas such as transport, infrastructure, skills, business investment, housing, and culture and tourism. It is chaired by the Tees Valley Mayor, with the Leaders of the Local Authorities forming its Cabinet.
