The Tees Valley Joint Health Scrutiny Committee reviews and scrutinises regional and specialist health services that affect residents across the Tees Valley area. This function is carried out under powers granted to local authorities by the NHS Act 2006, as amended by the Health and Social Care Act 2012. The committee's administrative support and chairing arrangements rotate among the five Tees Valley local authorities.
