Purpose

To agree to the physical modernisation of
Horley Community Centre in line with the scope and programme set
out in the report.

Decision

Horley Community
Centre Modernisation
 
RESOLVED –
that Executive AGREED to:
 
i)              
The modernisation of Horley Community Centre, in line with the
scope and programme outlined within the report, so that it can
better meet the needs and aspirations of local residents.
 
ii)             
The allocation of £2.218m to deliver the comprehensive
refurbishment and modernisation of Horley Community Centre.
 
iii)           
Agree that in order to progress the project that the Head of
Community Partnerships, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder
for Community Partnerships, Portfolio Holder for Finance, Assets
and Governance and the Head of Finance, be authorised to:
 
-
make any necessary changes to the scope and timeline of the project
provided that it does not require any additional funding from the
Council’s approved Capital Programme.

agree the procurement strategy for the project, undertake the
necessary consultancy, surveyor, and contractor appointments
(including main contractor, inspectoral bodies or warranty
providers) and to enter into contracts to allow the project to be
delivered.

make a Planning Application for the project - enter into and amend
any Easements, Licences, Leases, Covenants or Wayleaves and
relevant agreements as required on the project.

complete any Party Wall agreements as required on the project.
