The Cabinet considered
a report of the Director of Economy and Place, which sought
approval to procure and appoint a main contractor to undertake
public realm improvement works to the Heywood Civic Square
(currently Peine square). The report
also sought to update on progress of works to date on both
Heywood’s Civic Square and Heywood’s Civic Centre and a
summary of the proposed improvements to Heywood’s Square.
 
The Senior Project
Officers from Rochdale Development Agency were
in attendance to present the information and to address the
questions and the comments of the Cabinet Members.
 
Resolved that the
recommendations outlined at point 2.1 – 2.3 of the report
be agreed.
