Purpose

To obtain
approvals to begin looking at a the future depot needs for the
Council's operational services.

Content

The Cabinet
considered a report of the Director of Economy and Place, which
sought approval of the preferred option set out in the Strategic
Outline Business Case (SOBC) relating to a Council’s
operational services depot in Heywood.
 
The Cabinet Member
Climate Change and Environment delivered a brief summary of the
report’s key points.
 
The Senior
Highways Officer (Strategy) was in attendance to present the
information and address the questions and comments of the Cabinet
Members.
 
The Officer
informed that the project required further detailed analysis of the
benefits and financial implications in both the short and long
term. A further report would be submitted to Cabinet in due
course.
 
Resolved that the recommendations
set out in section two of the report be agreed.
