Decision

Cabinet considered a report of the Director of Economy and Place which provided an update on progress with the delivery of the Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing Centre (SMMC) at Kingsway Business Park. The report outlined the current position of the project and sought approval to enter into lease agreements with a prospective occupier, together with authority to undertake the necessary procurement and contract award processes for fit-out works following handover of the building to the Council.

The Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Housing introduced the report.

The Programme Manager Rochdale Development Agency proceeded to present the information and responded to questions and comments from the Cabinet Members.

Resolved that the recommendations outlined in section two of the report be agreed.
