The Human Resources Committee
consists of seven Members of the Council appointed in accordance
with political balance requirements, one of which will be the
Leader of the Council, whose Portfolio contains Human
Resources.
The Committee considers all
matters relating to Human Resources within the Council. This includes the approval of policies and staff
retention packages. The Committee
receives reports from the Human Resources Manager twice a year on
the operational management of the organisation, highlighting
fluctuations in trends on indicators affecting the staff resources
of the Council, such as sickness, recruitment and equal
opportunities.
