1.       That the proposals shown on drawing No 126/17/TT566.2 are implemented

2.       Residents are informed of the decision.

Decision:

To report on the outcome of consultations regarding the implementation of traffic calming (road humps) at St. Johns Avenue and Woodlaithes Road, Sunnyside.

Recommendations

1. That the proposals shown on drawing No 127/17/TT566.2 be implemented
2. Residents are informed of the decision.

Reasons for the Decision:

The scheme was proposed to address road safety concerns about the speed off traffic raised by local ward members as part of the Local Neighbourhoods Road Safety programme.

Details of alternative options considered and rejected:

Do nothing.

Under this option, no traffic calming measures or traffic management arrangements would be implemented. This option is not recommended, as it would fail to address the road safety concerns raised by local ward members and would not align with the objectives of the Local Neighbourhoods Road Safety programme or the funding provided through SYMCA.
