About
The Audit and Risk Committee provides independent assurance to Rutland Council and its Cabinet on the effectiveness of corporate governance and internal controls, including risk management. It scrutinises the council's financial and non-financial performance, focusing on how these impact risk exposure and control weaknesses. The committee also oversees the financial reporting process. While elected councillors sit on the committee, it may also include non-voting independent co-opted members appointed for up to four years.
