Edith Weston Neighbourhood Plan Decision Statement
December 4, 2024 Strategic Director for Places (Officer) Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
To formally agree with the recommendations
made by the Examiner and for the Edith Weston Neighbourhood Plan to
proceed to Referendum.
Decision
The Council agrees with the recommendations
made by the examiner. It has therefore decided to modify the plan
in accordance with the examiner’s recommended modifications,
except for Policy EW-DH01: Sustainable Design whereby the policy
was amended to align with the rest of the Neighbourhood Plan for
consistency.
The Council has decided to progress the modified plan to a
referendum of eligible registered voters within the Edith Weston
Neighbourhood Plan Area, as recommended in the examination report,
as the Council agrees that this is the most appropriate area for
the referendum.
This decision has been made by the Director of Places through
powers delegated by the Council’s constitution dated 16th
June 2020, in conjunction with Councillor Paul Browne, Portfolio
Holder.
A list of the examiner’s recommended modifications and the
Council’s actions in response to each recommendation is
included in the Decision Statement, as well as in the examination
report.
