Purpose

Cabinet agreed that a new network of bus
services and DRT would operate from March 2025. The new services
would be affordable, sustainable and accessible giving residents
the best option opportunity to access work, learning, health and
leisure services. Operating a significant DRT service requires
extensive experience and back-office systems to operate the service
efficiently. Lincolnshire County Council already operates DRT in
the County and are best placed to manage and deliver the expanded
service including the passenger booking service. The changes are
necessary to deliver the MTFS savings of £300k for local bus
service provision.

Decision

To make the award of an inter authority
agreement to Lincolnshire County Council for the reasons outlined
in this submission and the Cabinet report 2025.
