Salford City Council - Record of
Decision

I
Councillor Tracy Kelly, Deputy City Mayor, in exercise of the
powers contained within the City Council constitution do hereby:

(1) Agree the collapse of the tender process due to receiving an
insufficient number of tenders to complete a competitive
procurement exercise and the price returned being over the approved
budget for the scheme.

(2) Approve the formal
withdrawal of Salford City Council from the PSDS3b scheme and note
that £346,000 of grant will not be drawn down towards to the
project.

(3) Agree a reduced scheme for
Eccles Town Hall that will achieve energy efficiency and energy
generation at the site to reduce running costs and carbon
emissions.

(4) Agree the outline approach to
developing a pipeline of further sites, to be confirmed, to
implement energy efficiency measures on the Council’s
estate.

The Reasons are to formalise Salford
City Council’s position and allow for alternative approaches
to energy efficiency being developed.
