The Reasons are:
To progress housing
delivery for Derive.
The approach is in
line with the Council’s procurement rules.
To make the
procurement process for pre-planning consultants more transparent
and efficient.
Options considered and rejected
were:
Submitting separate
DDNs for every consultant for each site (as has been done for the
Derive scheme at Robert Hall St/West Park St in Ordsall, which was
inefficient).
Assessment of Risk: High
The source of funding
is:
The schemes’ development
costs are to be met by the Council’s own funding, through
approved general unsupported borrowing, within the Pipeline
Development capital programme for future delivery of housing
schemes, expenditure code: A10122.
