TITLE: PROPOSED ADVERTISING SITE-CANAL CIRCLE ROUNDABOUT,
ECCLES
I,
Councillor
Kelly, Deputy City Mayor, in exercise
of the powers contained within the Salford City Council’s
constitution do hereby:

Approve a proposal
by Wildstone to provide and lease two Digital
48 sheet advertising displays on Canal Circle Roundabout,
Eccles.

Note and approve that the terms of the agreement to
facilitate the development.

The delegation of authority to the Strategic
Director Place, in conjunction with the S151 officer, to negotiate,
agree and finalise the detailed terms of the
transaction.

Authorise the Shared Legal Service to prepare all
necessary documentation and to take all steps which are required to
give effect to the above recommendations.
The Reasons are Wildstone have put forward a proposal to develop
two Digital 48 sheet display billboards on Canal Circle Roundabout
in Eccles. A pre-application process has taken place and the
proposal can be supported by officers. The rent offered is deemed
to be acceptable. All costs and fees will be the responsibility of
the advert developer (Wildstone) and
the proposal will be subject to a planning advert
consent.
Options considered and rejected
were not to proceed with the proposals.
Assessment
of Risk: Low, all
development costs will be met by the advert developer, there will
be no liability on the council.
