Purpose

To inform the Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing & Inclusion of the changes to the 2026 - 2029 drug & alcohol prevention, treatment & recovery funding and seek approval for the allocation of additional funding to Rise Up - Children & Families Substance Use Service.

Decision

Decision(s):

(1)  The approved allocation of funding as described in this report be noted.

(2)  The approved allocation of funding to Rise Up - Young People and Families Substance Use Service as described for 2026/7 and subsequently in 2027/8 -2028/9 (should the funding be available) be noted.

Reason(s) for the Decision(s):

The consolidation of LA drug and alcohol funding from April 2026/7 into a ring fenced allocation as part of the Public Health Grant will determine funding for the next three years.
