Purpose

This report is presented to the Cabinet Member to seek approval for new schemes within the Schools Capital Programme SCA Allocation of £1.753m  for 2026/2027.

Decision

Decision(s):

  1. The approved proposed schemes listed in this report (Table A), externally funded by the Schools Condition Allocation (SCA) grant, be noted.
  2. The Assistant Director of Education had commissioned the works in accordance with the Council’s Contract Procedure Rules, including accepting the most economically advantageous tenders and approving the award of contracts, be noted.

Reasons for the recommendation:

Approval of the proposed recommendations will enable the timely delivery of schemes to improve the condition of school buildings and deliver essential maintenance works across the borough, fully funded through the Schools Condition Allocation grant. This will ensure that school premises remain safe, compliant, and fit for purpose, while supporting effective financial oversight and robust programme management within the approved budget.
