The purpose of this report is to seek the Cabinet Member’s approval of the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) report and five-year housing supply position for 2023.

That the Strategic Housing Availability Assessment (SHLAA) report and the five-year housing supply position for 2023 be approved.

Reasons for the Decision(s):

To allow the SHLAA report and five-year housing supply position to inform decision making, both for Development Management and for policy purposes.

Alternative Options Considered and Rejected: (including any Risk Implications)

None. A SHLAA and five-year housing supply assessment is required every year as good practice and to help in decision making for planning applications and Local Plan monitoring.
