Hearing Sub-Committee (Audit and Standards)

The Hearing Sub-Committee (Audit and Standards) is responsible for considering complaints that a Councillor or Co-opted Member may have breached the Members' Code of Conduct. It promotes high standards of conduct among these individuals.

This sub-committee, drawn from the Audit and Standards Committee, includes three Councillors and one non-voting co-opted member. Independent Persons assist the Monitoring Officer and the committee in handling complaints. Meetings may not be open to the public due to the nature of individual complaints, and the Chair has discretion over recording.
