Senior Officer Employment Committee

The Senior Officer Employment Committee is responsible for decisions regarding the appointment, dismissal, and discipline of senior council officers, subject to legal requirements and the Council's Constitution. It considers and recommends appointments for the Chief Executive and determines matters for Executive Directors and other senior officers, including their dismissal and disciplinary actions short of dismissal. The committee also handles appointments, discipline, and dismissals for officers reporting to these senior roles, excluding those with solely secretarial or clerical duties. Meetings may not always be open to the public due to the nature of individual cases.
