Reasons for the decision

Reducing the loading
observations concessions for food delivery drivers in line with
standard loading observations is a more consistent equitable
approach to enforcement and aligns with policy shared by
a number of other local
authorities.
 

Alternative options considered

Continuing the loading observations
concessions to food delivery drivers with a note displayed in their
vehicle. However, this is inconsistent with line with standard
loading observations allowed for all other deliveries (or other
drivers carrying out loading or unloading activities). This may be
challenged on grounds of fairness.
