About

This Committee deals with the following non-executive functions: Elections, Name and status of areas and individuals, Power to make, amend, revoke or re-enact byelaws, Power to promote or oppose local or personal bills, Functions in relation to staff and superannuation, Council's Constitution, Standing Orders, financial administration and miscellaneous, appointments to outside bodies, appeals against Council decisions where there are no other statutory appeals procedures.   The Committee is also responsible for the Council’s Code of Conduct for Councillors and promoting the highest standards of ethical conduct.
