Purpose

To give the Cabinet Member for Resources a
high level view of all debts owed to the Council and the action
taken to recover these as at 30 September 2023. This includes the
debts we have been unable to recover and need to be written
off.

Decision

RESOLVED
The Cabinet Member for Resources:
(i) 
Noted the outstanding levels of debt as at 30 September 2023.
(ii) 
Noted the level and value of debts under £10,000 authorised
for write off by the Deputy Section 151 Officer between 1 July 2023
and 30 September 2023.
(iii) 
Approved business rates, council tax and housing benefit
overpayment and SCH rent debt write offs over £10,000
totalling £63,229.92.
