RESOLVED
 
That planning application 2024/1865/FUL
be REFFUSED contrary to the Officer’s recommendation
due to the significant harm to the setting of the heritage assets,
the disproportionate development within Beckington and the impact
of the scheme on the discharge of sewage into the River Frome and
the designated wild swimming area at Farleigh Hungerford. The
benefits of the scheme are not outweighed by the significant and
demonstrable harms identified. The exact wording of the refusal
reasons to be confirmed by the Planning Officers in consultation
with the Chair, Vice-Chair and divisional members.
 
Votes – 7 for,
3 against, 3 abstentions.
