Having been duly proposed and seconded, the
Planning and Transport Policy Sub-Committee RESOLVED to:

1. Approve Local Plan Topic Paper 1: Consultation and Engagement
(Appendix A) as the approach to community and stakeholder
involvement in the preparation of the Somerset Local Plan
2. Note the alignment of the Topic Paper with
the Council’s Statement of Community Involvement and the
Local Development Scheme.
3. Approve the Consultation and Engagement
Activities Plan (Appendix B) as a live document to be updated
throughout the plan-making process.
4. Approve the Terms of Reference for the
Cross-Party Member Steering Group (Appendix C).
5. Note the proposed membership structure and
operational arrangements.
6. Agrees that the group will commence its
work following this approval.
