Councillor Steven Pugsley proposed the
recommendations, which were seconded by Councillor Leigh
Redman.
 
Having been duly proposed and seconded, the
Council Resolved to:-

1.   
Endorse and agree the Scrutiny Review findings and recommendations
in Annex 1 supporting appendices which were agreed by the Scrutiny
Committee for Corporate and Resources.

2.   
Agree to delegate authority to the Monitoring Officer and Head of
Democratic and Governance Services to undertake the necessary work
for changes to the Council’s Constitution (including the new
scrutiny function arrangements) and finalise a resource plan to
deliver the review and the action plan (see Appendix D).

3.   
Note that the evaluation of the improvements to the Council’s
scrutiny function would be done in January 2027.
