Audit Committee reviewed and commented on the draft
Annual Governance Statement 2024/25 (Appendix A), the Action Plan
for 2025/26 and 2026/27 (Annex 1), the supporting evidence (Annexes
2, 3 and 5) and the Local Code of Corporate Governance (Annex 4,)
noting that the final version of the AGS will be presented to the
Audit Committee in late 2025 as part of the annual Statement of
Accounts 2024/25. They added a recommendation for a governance
review of the council plan to ensure that financial sustainability
is at the heart of the plan.
