RESOLVED that the Constitution and
Governance Committee agreed:
 

a.   
That Somerset Council should not provide any more evidence to the
LGBCE, but should reply to the consultation, in writing, referring
to previous submissions and the preference for predominantly
single-member divisions, but highlighting that the Council had
previously made suggestions for a small number of multi-member
divisions.

b.   
That political parties, councillors, community groups, and
residents should be encouraged to submit their own proposals and
evidence to the consultation.
