The Children and Families Scrutiny Committee
RESOLVED to convey to the Executive that:

The Committee acknowledged the improvements made
in Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) services while
recognising the scale of the remaining challenges.
The Committee noted that the current SEND Action
Plan will transition into a SEND Reform Plan aligned with national
requirements.
The Committee requested that a dedicated future
item on SEND Reform be brought to Scrutiny, with full partnership
involvement where possible.
The Committee also requested sight of the revised
plan, including clear priorities, milestones and risks, and
emphasised the continued importance of co-production with parents
and young people.
