Councillor Bill Revans proposed the
recommendations, which were seconded by Councillor Diogo
Rodrigues.
 
Having been duly proposed and seconded, the
Council Resolved to:-

     
i.        
Thank the Panel for its report and recommendations set out in
Appendix 1;

    
ii.        
Consider and agree the Panel’s recommendations prior to
agreeing the Scheme of Members’ Allowances 2026/27 and the
draft Scheme of Members’ Allowances 2026/27 (set out in
Appendix 2);

   
iii.        
Authorise the Monitoring Officer to finalise and publish the Scheme
of Members’ Allowances 2026/27 to reflect the Council’s
decision.

  
iv.        
Reappoint David Lamb, Bryony Houlden and Phil Gait to the
Independent Remuneration Panel for a further three years.

    
v.        
Delegate authority to the Monitoring Officer to amend the Members
Scheme of Allowances 2026/27 to reflect the new four scrutiny
committees coming into effect from May 2026.
