Purpose
The
purpose of this decision is to support Histon Early Years Centre
– Parents Group in revitalising the woodland/forest school
and kitchen garden at Histon Early Years Centre. The forest school
is situated on a section of the field owned by the council, which
has granted the nursery permission to use the area.
The
project will be a collaborative effort between the school and a
group of parents to create a safe, thriving woodland space and a
productive kitchen garden for the children and their families to
enjoy. The children will also benefit from eating the fresh fruit
and vegetables grown in the allotment area.
The
funding will be used to purchase a new lawnmower, compost, plants
and seeds, pots, and gardening materials for the
children.
