Purpose
The purpose of this decision is
to fund a Volunteer self-employed instructor and Community Tang Soo
Do instructor, Philip Manschini, to
deliver their Tang Soo Do classes in Cambourne. This is to help
develop participants’ healthy and active lifestyles through
improvements in active routines, helping with fitness. Participants
will also learn discipline and self-defence, helping with
reactions, muscular strength, and flexibility. The sessions aim to
develop a community feel, and are for any age adult, with varying
ability of fitness, wanting to be as inclusive as possible. The
target audience is 18+.The grant funding is being used to purchase
equipment and also creating flyers for promotion. It also wants to
bring the community together, after speaking with Cambourne
residents and understanding interest. The instructors are proposing
any excess profits to be donated to the local foodbank in
Cambourne. The application reference number is LGGCLSRK.
Grant sum awarded is
£500.
