Purpose

In June
2025 SCDC were approached by Hill to bid to acquire 136no. homes
for Affordable Rent at the Marleigh development in Fen Ditton
parish.
 
The
site has received full planning consent, and the affordable homes
available for acquisition meet the requirements of the signed S106
Agreement.
 
SCDC
submitted a competitive tender bid to Hill in July 2025. The offer
was caveated that it was subject to any outstanding planning
matters and due political process.
 
Hill
confirmed on 24 July 2025 that SCDC are the preferred
bidder.

Content

Cabinet has approved the
acquisition, authorising the Service Manager – Acquisitions
and Development to proceed to contract with the developer
(Hill).
 
Cabinet has approved the onward sale of the relevant Shared
Ownership homes (83).
