Purpose

On 18
December 2025 the Grants Advisory Committee reviewed all Allotment
Improvement Grants applications received between 5 May 2025 until
31 August 2025.

Appendix C of the meeting
reports pack.
 
After
consideration of the applications, the Committee recommended to the
Lead Cabinet Member for Resources that:
 

Bar
Hill Allotment Society (GBTVLVNB) be approved and funded at the
full amount requested of £8,316

 

Ickleton Allotment Association (RJXRLKMF) be approved and funded
at the reduced amount of £7,723 instead of the full amount
requested of £9,000

 

Hale
Road Allotment & Gardening Association – Swavesey
(JJWDFPNF) be approved and funded at the full amount requested of
£3,120

 

Orwell
Parish Council Allotments (LSBBMKXZ) be approved and funded at the
full amount requested of £3,228.23

 

Steeple Morden Allotment and Gardens Society (JHQGRQZM) be
approved and funded at the full amount requested of
£2,770.39

George’s Allotment and Leisure Gardeners Association

at the full amount requested of £5,720

 

Shepreth Parish Council (MRTTBDZL) be approved and funded at the
reduced amount of £8,592 instead of the full amount requested
of £10,000

 

Eltisley - Allotments for the Labouring Poor (KRKPDXBJ) not be
approved for funding (full amount requested
£4,120)

 

Landbeach Allotment Association (VZTDKVXB) not be approved for
funding (full amount requested £10,000).

The
applications were considered in detail by the Grants Advisory
Committee and there is sufficient budget available.

Alternative options considered

To
reject or vary the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee
and decide on the level of funding (£0 - £2,000) to be
awarded for each or defer a decision if further information is
required from grant applicants.
