Purpose

On 24 August 2023 the Grants
Advisory Committee reviewed all Community Chest applications
received between 7 July 2023 and 7 August 2023.
 
Nine applications were brought
forward in
‘Appendix A’ of the meeting reports pack.
 
After consideration of these
applications, the Committee recommended to the Lead Cabinet Member
for Resources that:
 
1.    
Swavesey Spartans Football Club (XFMFPBKM) be
approved and funded at the full amount requested of £2,000

 
2.    
Gamlingay School's Out Club (JFNVDBHR) be approved
and funded at the full amount requested of £500
 

 
3.    
Abington Village Institute (GLCTVTDW) is not funded,
but deferred as detailed below

 
4.    
1st Comberton Scout Group (KXKVWVRJ) be approved and
funded at the full amount requested of £2,000
 
5.    
Litlington
Congregational Church (WSQGJSKL) is not funded, as
detailed below
 
6.    
Huntingdon Hockey Club (FJBQZZSG) be approved and
funded at the full amount requested of £1981.75
 
7.    
Milton Outdoor Bowls Club (CSCCWQCT) be approved and
funded at the full amount requested of £520
 
8.    
Marvell Green Management Company (WZFKKHFR) is not
funded, but deferred as detailed below
 
9.    
Cambourne Town Football Club (PTWFCWHV) be approved
and funded at the full amount requested of £1,143.96

In reference to the application
from 1st Comberton Scout Group,
funding is provided for the storage container only and not the
contents.
 
In reference to the application
from 1st Huntingdon Hockey Club
(which is based in Northstowe), funding
is provided on the following conditions:
·      
the name of the Club is changed to
include Northstowe e.g Northstowe and
Huntingdon Hockey Club. This is in recognition that this
application is asking SCDC for the total project costs and that it
will help put Northstowe on the
map.
·      
That this is the only Hockey Club
operating in Northstowe
·      
There is no S106 funding available for
sports development in Northstowe.
