Purpose

The
purpose of this decision is to decide whether the land/building
should be included as an asset of community value
(“ACV”) on the Council’s register of
ACVs.
 
On 24
June 2024 a nomination was received from Great Abington Parish
Council in respect of Land off Pampisford Road, Great
Abington, CB21 6BX.
 
Following consideration of the nomination, Notice of Nomination
was sent to Cllrs Henry and John Batchelor, (for the district Ward
of Linton), to the Parish Council acknowledging their nomination
and to the owners. The nomination was publicised through the weekly
bulletin and the Lead Member for Communities was
notified.

Officers have considered the nomination and are not satisfied
that the non-ancillary use of the asset currently furthers the
social well-being, or cultural recreational or sporting interests
of the local community or that such use was made of the Property in
the recent past, as required by s.88(1)(a) and s.88(2)(a) of the
Localism Act 2011.
