Purpose

The
District Council had a licence agreement with Urban&Civic
(previously L&Q Estates) to install a cycle shelter on Phase 1
Northstowe Northern Greenway.
 
The
cycle shelter, purchased and installed by SCDC, was installed to
enable e-bikes (procured by Smart Journeys, CCC) to be stored which
could be hired by residents. The current contract Smart Journeys
has with the provider has been terminated but Smart Journeys are
looking at bringing in an alternative bike hire
provider.
 
At the
time a short licence was drawn up (4 years), subsequently SCDC has
entered into other licence agreements with Urban&Civic so the
purpose of this deed of variation is to extend the licence
agreement, so all the agreements end at the same time.
