Decision

To exercise the Chief Executive’s delegation to make an order under Section 91 of the Local Government Act 1972 to appoint Councillors Allan Beal, Tracey Carter, Nanette Chapman and Paul Redgate to be Holbeach Parish Councillors on a temporary basis.

Reasons for the decision

Holbeach Parish Council is currently inquorate and therefore the Parish Council is unable to take any decisions or conduct its business.

Alternative options considered

Not to appoint the named persons as Holbeach Parish Councillors on a temporary basis – this would render the Parish Council unable to conduct its business or make any decisions until the next scheduled Parish Elections in May 2027.
Appoint alternative named persons – the above persons are District Councillors whose wards cover part of Holbeach Parish Council and are therefore considered the most suitable.
