Community Governance and Electoral Issues Committee

The Community Governance and Electoral Issues Committee is responsible for reviewing electoral arrangements and local governance structures within South Oxfordshire.

It makes recommendations to the Council regarding reviews of electoral arrangements conducted by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England. The committee also undertakes its own reviews of parish community governance, polling districts, and polling places. It responds to consultations on parliamentary constituencies and county divisions and considers reports on district and parish council elections. In conducting community governance reviews, the committee must adhere to the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 and relevant joint guidance.
